Maintenance Associate

The Maintenance Associate is responsible for supporting unit presentation, facility cleanliness, simple maintenance, and following safety standards by performing basic tasks of their job classification and performing miscellaneous support activities of housekeeping and janitorial tasks.
Responsible for all housekeeping and maintenance activities within the PDC.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs janitorial and housekeeping tasks as required by supervisor, including minor daily or weekly maintenance
• Follows verbal or written instructions to clean and maintain facility and perform a variety of work activities
• Performs minor plumbing repairs and maintains drainage system
• Performs cleaning of building exterior as needed
• Performs minor interior carpentry or painting repair as needed
• Assists with housekeeping as needed (i.e., emergency assistance for spills, trash, restroom cleanup), loads cardboard daily, and cleans and sweeps compactor area
• Cleans merchandise handling equipment daily, and monitors unused equipment at charging station
• Updates maintenance records daily
• Performs other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of related experience
• Valid Driver License for the State of employment
• 18 years of age or older

• Ability to work in non-air conditioned environment where applicable

• Ability to work well with others in a team setting to deliver high performance results
• Ability to take initiative, and to work with a sense of urgency
• Ability to constantly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; frequently up to 50 lbs.; and occasionally up to, and over 100 lbs.
• Ability to constantly reach outward, handle and finger objects, stand, and walk; frequently bend, squat, kneel, twist, turn, and sit; and occasionally, crawl, reach above shoulder, and type using a keyboard
