JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for a Sr. Mgr., Video products to join our Search and Discovery team. On this team we lead the experience for how customers search, discover and engage with content across all the Charter/Spectrum TV/video platforms. You’ll bring ideas and technical understanding in designing and driving an experience that supports the way customers think about finding products using remotes, natural language and personalized recommendations. Our team drives the design vision, collaborates with cross-functional teams to stand up enabling technologies, and negotiates with various teams in product, UI/UX, engineering, hardware, finance, and 3rd party vendors to see the vision deployed successfully, on time and within budget.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

  • Collaborating with the design team, engineers, product owners, marketing, customer support, finance, and others to create a phenomenal customer search and discovery experience for TV/video across all consumption devices.
  • Help define and drive our Search and Discovery product strategy and roadmap
  • Work directly with stakeholders across various organizations, internal and external, to deliver market leading performance
  • Drive technical requirements for enabling technologies to communicate with vendors, internal teams, and executives
  • Create and communicate clear high level requirements and acceptance criteria for budgeting process and delivery of user functionality and experience
  • Participate in agile ceremonies as necessary to clarify product vision, drive requirements and answer all pertinent questions
  • Become the source of knowledge for all-things relating to Search & Discovery
  • Develop and utilize a deep understanding of the technical data flow that powers the search experience
  • Utilize technical tools to troubleshoot and plan changes and improvements in the service


Use performance tracking to focus attention on areas requiring improvement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills /Abilities and Knowledge
Industry experience in Search and Discovery
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Strong technical or development background desired (preferred development background may include architecture or system design)
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel in public forums
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to simultaneously manage several projects
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)
Experience in the cable or related industry
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database management
Good organizational and office management skills
Excellent cognitive and communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to lead large, cross-functional teams in order to achieve business goals and results
Strong business acumenand sense of urgency to achieve business results

Education
Undergraduate degree required or equivalent work experience
Graduate degree desired
Prefer technical degree related to the telecommunications field, individual coursework related to telecommunications field, attendance of telecommunications seminars
