Part-time Occupational Therapist (OT)

A Long Island-based preschool is currently seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a promising Part-time position for the 2017-2018 school year. Working a flexible two to three day per week from 9am to 2:30pm, the Part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for working with children ages 3 to 5 that have various developmental disabilities. This position will last through the summer with a strong possibility that it will continue into the fall for an ongoing position. Preschool

The Part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) will:

• Screen, identify, assess, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and recommend services for students who exhibit a delay or disability in fine motor, sensory motor and/or adaptive functioning
• Promote optimal function and engagement in meaningful activities 
• Provide support to families and collaborate with other disciplines, as needed in order to address goals and objectives as indicated in each student's IEP
• Maintain appropriate documentation regarding student services and subsequent needs

• 6+ months of Occupational Therapy experience
• NYS Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
• Able to multitask efficiently and effectively

• Experience working with the Pediatric population
