Summary Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, treats patient population for therapy needs. Job Duties * Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary. * Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the therapist. * Documents services provided and patient response/progress. Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Assists with patient discharge planning. * Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs. Requirements * Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. * Current licensure with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Occupational Therapy Assistant required. * BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
