Position Summary:

Work alongside senior analysts to develop data-driven solutions to business challenges within the Kroger supply chain. Utilize big data tools and resources to take a specific analytics project from beginning to end, while demonstrating an ability to summarize findings, effectively communicate results and propose next steps. Essential Job Functions:

• Produce statistical, operational and/or financial analyses from internal/external data sources for use in decision making
• Develop innovative and reliable insights through the use of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytical techniques
• Perform required key analyses across various functions of the supply chain, including warehousing, transportation, engineering, procurement and manufacturing
• Identify capabilities and processes that drive continuous improvement
• Provide excellent customer service to all Kroger supply chain business partners
• Exercise sound analytical judgment, draw insights and document findings
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:

• Passion and enthusiasm for data and problem solving
• Currently working towards obtaining a bachelor’s degree in an analytical or technical field (e.g., business administration, finance, accounting, engineering, statistics, math, etc.)
• Ability to perform statistical data analysis and analytical reviews
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills
• Interest in learning relational and distributed databases (SQL Server, Oracle, HDFS(Hadoop), etc.)
• Interest in learning business intelligence solutions (Tableau, Business Objects, Excel VB, R, etc.)
• Excellent listening and oral communication skills; not afraid to ask questions
• Must be a team player and demonstrate an ability to relate to and understand others
• Exhibit a passion and enthusiasm for developing analytical solutions
• Strong attention to detail for identifying errors in calculations and reports

Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:

• Current student obtaining a bachelor’s in information systems, technology, analytics, supply chain or a similar field
