Procurement Analyst II

JOB SUMMARY:
This position works closely with Category Managers and Sr Managers to support the management of multiple categories. The Procurement Analyst II supports category management through the data analysis required to complete contracts, operational activities, managing adherence to contracts , developing supplier scorecards and managing cost-savings initiatives. The key objectives of this position are to continually hone one's sourcing and category expertise, applying that knowledge to every initiative and ensuring that Company assets are leveraged for maximum benefit and to assist in developing, implementing and effectively managing relevant supply bases to minimize cost while ensuring required service quality and supplier performance while successfully partnering with the business.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides analytical support of category management activities through a solid understanding of analytic tools and approaches (Financial analysis (NPV, ROI etc.) and models).
* Works closely with Category Managers to ensure continuous supply to functional departments through assisting in contracting process (full contract or PO with standard T&C's). Supports the entire Procurement team department on various departmental or enterprise-wide activities and initiatives as directed.
* Supports and serves assigned individual Procurement department.
* Develops basic understanding of commodities that are assigned and related policies
* Proactively builds relationships with stakeholders to clarify needs and expectations in connection with Category Managers

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors Degree
* 1-2 years of related experience
* 18 years of age or older

REQUIRED SKILLS:
* 1 to 2 years of experience in providing financial/analytical support
* Ability to break down complex issues into analyzable segments and organize the collection, interpretation and solution structure to drive business action
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial summaries
* Knowledge of emerging industry practices (researching when necessary) when solving business problems
* Project management and problem solving skills
* Results oriented, high sense of urgency
* Strong written skills (documentation/presentations, flowcharts)
* Strong verbal skills (communicate at an executive business level, technical analyst level; facilitate discussions among cross functional staff, etc.)
* Advanced computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
* Ability to influence and maturity to participate in an open give and take as analysis is discussed and honed

PREFERRED SKILLS:
* Advanced computer skills, including Access, Microsoft Project and Visio a plus
