Warehouse/Shipping Clerk $12.00/hr - Full-time / Part-time

Our client, a Specialty Plastics Manufacturer and Distributor in Zionsville/southwest Carmel needs someone to join their warehouse team. He/she will pick, pack and ship 30-50 packages a day using paper pick tickets and computer entry. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working in a team environment and heavily geared towards team success.  Accurate, quality, timely and efficient packaging and shipping of all products for customer orders is critical to our client’s success.  As such he/she should have a strong attention to detail as it applies to ensuring correct part numbers, correct quantities, good quality of product, and good packaging.  He/she should also have enough understanding of the entire shipping and freight process to make sure our client’s customers are getting the best service possible.  Since responsibilities can be diverse on any given day he/she should not have any issues working outside of the “defined job”.

Key Responsibilities 

Order Picking
o Accurately pick orders based on paper sales orders
o Deliver picked product to packing station in orderly and timely manner

Order Packing
o Pack orders neatly and efficiently to ensure safe product transit and good presentation to customer
o Follow special guidelines where appropriate

Order Processing
o Determine appropriate method of shipment based on established procedures and order documentation
o Process all shipments in a timely manner
o Communicate all necessary info to correct departments
o Promptly route all order paperwork to invoicing
o Track and expedite all export, credit card and advance pay orders that are waiting on AR
• General upkeep of warehouse, work area and product
o Efficient and orderly work habits to minimize product damage and optimize resource usage
o Daily and weekly cleanup
• Other tasks as needed
o Replenishment (10 and 12 pack product, build empty boxes, stock shelves)
o Receiving (assist in checking in of product)
o Manufacturing (help in assembly or on press)
