Our position is an immediate opening for Oncology Infusion/Injection Coder you will be in charge of the coding of oncology services and will act as a liaison between the front end clinical departments and Patient Financial Services. Conducts coding reviews and provides education support Patient Financial Services department. Supports and at first work the denial management process and coding compliance. Coordinate and identify opportunities to maximize reimbursement for the hospital. Responsible for providing ongoing feedback and analysis of the education needs of the providers and clinical staff related to charge capture and coding compliance. Also responsible for assisting with coding inquiries from providers, charge capture staff/coding, and billing staff.

Education: Associate's degree Healthcare Management or related field required. Bachelor’s degree Healthcare Management or related field preferred.

Professional Certifications/Registration: Certified Output Coder (COC); Coding Specialist (CCS) OR Certified Coding Specialist – Physician Based (CCS-P) OR Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required.

Experience: 3 - 5 Years Healthcare experience with a minimum of 3 years hospital billing experience required. Project management and/or project lead experience, required. Experience in provider education and training required. Hospital billing & coding experience or equivalent demonstrated ability required; 3- 5 Years Experience with oncology /infusion program required.

Skills: Excellent communication skills both written and verbal necessary to be able to interact with all levels of company, analytical Skills and attention to detail; Working knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT-4, HCPCS coding schematics, required. Coursework in Anatomy & Physiology & Medical Terminology; Ability to develop and maintain mutually cooperative relationships at all levels to ensure attainment of goals and objectives. Must interact with physicians, their administrative support staff, Management the Finance department and other hospital department staff as required to investigate and resolve procedural and compliance issues. Ability to manage multiple projects, meets deadlines, and adjusts priorities in a fast-paced and evolving work environment; Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft office required.
