Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, In-Group Hospitality. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.

 

Position Overview
  • As part of the opening team, the DOS will work closely with the hotel GM, the Marriott and AC opening teams, and In-Group Hospitality personnel to develop & execute highly-successful plans for pre-opening, opening & ramp
  • The DOS will provide critical direction in determining appropriate sales & marketing strategies ”by identifying, aggressively pursuing & securing, and share-shifting leisure/transient and group business ”to maximize hotel revenue
  • By internalizing & reflecting the positive energy & confidence of the AC Hotels brand, the DOS will provide ongoing, highly-visible sales leadership & mentoring to sales team personnel, and to all hotel staff
  • The DOS must become intimately familiar with the features, amenities, and culture of the hotel ”and provide recommendations to ensure service excellence
  • This position reports directly to the hotel GM, collaborates regularly with property department heads, and coordinates actively with In-Group Hospitality corporate sales & revenue management personnel
  • This position will build and manage a book of client accounts, and will be bonusable based on individual, team, and hotel goals
  • Working knowledge of hotel sales & marketing, revenue management, pricing & quoting, forecasting, budgeting, and department expense management required
  • Salt Lake City market awareness (familiarity with overall lodging landscape, our comp set, economic trends & drivers, significant industries & entities, events & cultural happenings) desired. If not Salt Lake City, experience in other downtown & convention market strongly preferred
  • Bachelor ™s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field, or equivalent experience, strongly preferred 5 to 6 years of successful hotel sales & marketing required; DOS experience strongly preferred; Marriott sales experience preferred)
