Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Peachstate Hospitality, LLC. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting and continuously updating local market research.
  • Sell incremental room nights for assigned properties.
  • Assist in developing and executing each hotel marketing plan.
  • Achieve and exceed the Revenue targets for the assigned properties.
  • Assess the market potential and develop new business opportunities while at the same
  • time increasing revenues from existing customers.
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with high valued Hotel clients.
  • Communicate effectively and work closely with PSH corporate support staff to review all
  • revenue opportunities and maximize Hotel revenues.
  • Conduct and enhance public and community relations.


Primary Functions:


Revenue:


Sales & Marketing: Assist in preparing and implementing the hotels annual Sales and Marketing plans, help make sales calls to Key accounts and potential clients and capitalize on all revenue opportunities.


Financial: Aggressively pursue revenue goals and effectively engage in cold calling and utilizing yield management and revenue maximization tools.


Contract Business: Ensure that all contracts are timely executed, tracked, properly recorded and reported, services delivered as promised. Ensure that all deposits and final payments are timely billed, received and delivered tthe hotel GM.


Community Involvement:

Support the initiatives for good standing in the community by developing and maintaining relationships with, Chamber of Commerce, Convention and Visitors Bureau, other hotels, local schools, local government and other community and civic organizations.


Quality:


Guest Service: Work closely with the Front office and Housekeeping staff to ensure that the hotel meets/exceeds PSH and brand standards for guest satisfaction. Have a comprehensive understanding of the property and its offerings.


Meeting Rooms: Work closely with the Front Desk, and other staff tensure that the meeting room space meets/exceeds PSH and brand standards for customer satisfaction.


Leadership:


Work Ethic: Demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of personal and team actions, communicate effectively, promote collaboration, nurture a positive, professional work environment, and adhere tPSH Standard Operating


Procedures.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Send a daily end of the day activity and accomplishment email tthe Sales Manager and a copy tthe Hotel General Manager.
  • Engage in extensive telephone solicitations as directed by Sales Manager.
  • Assist in achieving Revenue and REVPAR targets for all business segments.
  • Conduct property tours, site inspections and engage professionally and effectively with all hotel visitors and inquirers.
  • Track monthly sales forecasts. Keep the Sales Manager, the General Manager and Corporate apprised of the status of forecasts to ensure that the property has a steady stream of business through the year. Engage in focused solicitations during soft occupancy periods and utilize effective rate and price negotiations.
  • Communicate diligently and work effectively with the Sales Manager, the Corporate Office and Brand sales support partners to maximize property revenues. Keep hotel managers and associates apprised of guest and group needs and special requests to ensure high level of service and guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma. Higher level education preferred
  • 2 year sales experience in the hospitality industry
  • Willing travel and must possess a valid driving license
  • Must work 50 hour work week (depends if it is a salary position) and be willing to work week-ends as required
  • Possess strong working knowledge of business development and sales techniques, service standards and techniques, guest relations and etiquette and general hotel knowledge and practical ability tapply business knowledge in a hotel setting.
