Currently hiring a Product Designer for a consumer products company located in the Greenville/Meadville area! The company is looking for an experienced Designer to grow their engineering team to support new and existing products. It is a long-term opportunity as well! Job Description:
- Support design engineer in sustaining engineering activities
- Design parts to meet desired specifications for new products, cost improvements, channel initiatives, and other corporate objectives.
- When developing new products, use the product development tollgate process to ensure all aspects of the project are considered.
- Model new and revise existing parts and assemblies using SolidWorks
- Navigate drawings and update files to company standards using EDPM
- Validate designs through prototype testing in the lab
- Some hands on prototype building and testing
- Communicate frequently on design progress and job issues as they arise
Job Requirements:
- A.S. in Drafting & Design or related discipline
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Must have professional experience designing & modeling in SolidWorks
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work hands-on with a product
