Quad/Graphics has openings at many plants around the US, which may include plants near you!

We seek:

  • Case Maker (Case In) Operators- Fairfield, PA, Versailles, KY and Taunton, MA(KY and MA may offer relocation help.)
  • Jacket Operator- Taunton, MA- offers paid relocation help for a skilled jacket operator.
  • Gather Operators- Taunton, MA and Sussex, WI (both offer paid relocaiton for highly skilled gather operators.)
  • Goss Saddle Stitch Operator- Oklahoma City and Sussex, WI (both offer paid relocation for highly skilled stitcher operators)
  • Perfect Binders- Dallas, TX and Sussex, WI (only WI offers relocation help for binders at this time.)

Not all plants have the same openings and not all plants are offering paid relocation. A limited list of plants offering paid relocation includes:

  • Sussex, WI (Milwaukee Suburb)- As our company’s headquarters, Sussex divides its business footprint between production operations and our corporate offices. Employees enjoy many onsite amenities including a child-care center, a fitness center and rehabilitation center, sand volleyball courts, a softball diamond and basketball courts.
    The plant’s pressroom is a showcase for 2x8 web offset technology, housing several of the high-speed, highly productive presses. 
    In the plant’s lobby rests The Belle City Queen, the first letterpress owned by Harry R. “Senior” Quadracci, Quad/Graphics' Chairman of the Board Emeritus and the Father of Web Offset Printing.
    Strategically located in the center of our Midwest manufacturing network, the Sussex plant serves as a hub for product consolidation and distribution.
    It is home to QuadTech, the Quad/Graphics subsidiary that designs and manufactures computerized auxiliary press and finishing equipment for clients worldwide
  • Oklahoma City, OK-  Oklahoma City is a gravure and web offset plant that has more than quadrupled its size since it opened in 2003. At over 1 million square feet in size and about 700 employees, it is the largest print-production facility west of the Mississippi River. The facility makes magazines, catalogues, and retail inserts. Our Oklahoma City plant has an onsite private medical clinic for staff and their families, plus a fitness center, and catch and release fishpond.

    Oklahoma City is a growing community with a lot of new commercial and residential construction. The city is home to many Fortune 500 companies.
  • Taunton, MA (Near Boston) -

    Renowned for quality products and customer service, our Taunton book plant is a single-source provider of book manufacturing services for the nation’s leading publishers. Taunton has been a consistent winner of Gold Ink Awards for its quality book manufacturing.

    • Educational books and consumer/trade books dominate the plant's product mix. The plant produced more than 53 million books in 2010; about 20 percent of them were hardcover books.

    • Printing one-color to five-color, the plant offers a variety of trim sizes, including 9-inch, 10-inch, 10 7/8-inch and Slim Jim.

    • Taunton has achieved triple chain-of-custody paper certification for FSC, SFI and PEFC.

    • Taunton was the first book plant in the world to be G7 certified.

Qualifications


The successful candidate will have or be able to do the following:

  • Must be at least 18-years of age or older
  • Factory, Manufacturing or other work experience where mechanical or handwork was necessary is preferred, such as laborer, machinist, assembly, bindery, mechanic, warehouse, etc.
  • Printing, Finishing (Bindery) or Warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to write and read measurements.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • The ability to use a computer
  • The ability to use repetitive hand/wrist movement
  • Ability to lift stacks of end boards or banding strap rolls (~30 -60lbs) as needed
  • Ability to adjust stacker using a touch screen
  • Ability to use a vibrating jogging table
  • The ability to take stacks of loose signatures or bundles ranging (5-30 lbs.) off a pallet or conveyor up to 48” in height and transfer to table top work surface 42”, and then place into a collator hopper or mail bags that potentially weigh from 5-75 lbs.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize job need.
  • Ability to be a team player in a fast paced, detail orientated production environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Additional Shift Information

  • 12 hour rotating shifts(either 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. working 3 - 4 days a week
