Lean Engineer

Aerotek is hiring for Lean Initiative Manager in Greenfield, Indiana. This is a pilot role for a manufacturing environment responsible for all Lean Initiatives and cost saving measures. This position will be responsible for implementing lean ideas and Kanban systems and managing inventory, as well. This position will work on the floor and utilize Excel for reporting and will work hand in hand with the plant manager.

This is a Monday- Friday position from 8am- 5pm.

Duties Include:

• Work with consultants to implement new lean initiatives.
• Heavy emphasis on Kanbans and Supermarket structure and planning.
• Work with material flow and plant layout methods.
• Create pick routes and inventory management on production floor.

• Develop and implement continuous improvement projects such as LEAN and SIX SIGMA.

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of Production Management in high volume and fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of LEAN and Six Sigma Principles.
• Production Control and Production Scheduling experience.
• Computer Skills including Excel; Pivot Tables.
