Controls Designer

Now hiring for a Controls Designer!

Job Description:

Use AutoCad and Solidworks to develop electrical schematics and control panel designs

Develop electrical system layouts, wire routing schedules, cables, and harnesses

Electrical 3D to integrate the electrical and mechanical aspects of the product design
Use established design standards to manage models and drawings
techniques.

Provide conceptual design drawings and system block diagrams as part of the design requirements and interface specifications development

Explain concepts to manufacturers and resolve electrical design problems

Read and analyze electrical and pneumatic prints

Qualifications:

• Engineering degree related to Controls Engineering.
• 5-10 years in design and development of building controls systems
• Current knowledge of compliance requirements for related codes, regulations and standards.
• Experience using 2D CAD editors (Draftsight) and 3D CAD editors (SOLIDWORKS) in SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM environment to produce drawings for manufacturing and documentation.
• Experience in the design, operation and maintenance of automation control systems.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
