Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Serves as a company expert to acquisition clients. Oversees the analysis of the most complex problems relating to government acquisition and program management.

RESPONSIBILTIES:
Performs original research to conceptualize program strategy or innovative acquisition designs that maximizes effectiveness. Develops and updates organization policy, practices or automated systems to incorporate changes in statute, economic conditions or best practices in use in the industry. Understands all integrated aspects of acquisition cycle from basic research to production and test. Skilled at applying acquisition-streamlining techniques. Trains clients and CACI personnel on new systems and policy changes. Provides functional guidance on more complex projects. Skilled at documenting process change and at writing white papers to capture new concepts or specialized applications. Uses automated systems and mentors others on contract writing, reporting, and technical performance analysis. Leads Community of Practice within an acquisition specialty. Responsible for knowledge management or knowledge presentation systems relating to that Community of Practice. Provides creative leadership from knowledge of industry best practices and most current developments in acquisition. Works with senior management to identify important acquisition issues. Researches and recommends acquisition policies and procedures. Provides regular reporting to senior management on acquisition issues. May oversee creation of procedures and communication material that document acquisition practices. May lead team or work as single consultant to client.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 10-12 years of related experience. Master's degree and professional certification preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
