Overview

 

General RV, one of the largest and most successful RV dealers in the nation, has an immediate opening for a Lead Service Writer at our Wixom, MI location. As a Lead Service Writer, you’ll provide leadership and direction to all service writers, while also supporting Service Managers and Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Run daily reports for all service advisors to audit work. Review with advisors to ensure proper workflow.
  • Deliver a high level of customer care by assisting advisors and management with customer concerns, questions and entire service experience.
  • Train all new service advisors on policy, procedures and computer system.
  • Provide daily support to existing service advisors for continued growth, and enforce department policies.
  • Schedule service appointments with customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Act as liaison between RV Manufacturers and service personnel.
  • Successfully communicate with service customers to determine service issues or maintenance that is needed.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical issues to customers and how the issue can be repaired.
  • Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of High School Diploma required.
  • Prior management and/or writing experience in a service or parts environment strongly desired.
  • General automotive or RV mechanical knowledge preferred.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with ability to multi-task in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Reliable and strong work ethic.
  • Valid driver’s license.
