We are currently looking for a Territory Sales Director to join our team in Houston.   

As a Territory Sales Director, you will:

As front line sales leader, you will be responsible for developing, directing, and implementing area sales goals and objectives that meet profitability expectations and results. The Territory Sales Director provides leadership and support to area sales team to set expectations, drive new business, and maintain existing client base, including quota attainment. 

 

Do you have the following required qualifications?  

·         Bachelor’s degree in business, architecture, interior design, marketing or communications AND 8 years sales and account development experience, including 6 years in commercial product sales or services, including 3 years experience in sales supervisory role (with direct reports) responsible for developing, coaching, and leading sales team to obtain successful sales results

·         OR If no degree, 16 years of sales and account development experience, including 6 years in commercial product sales or services, including 3 years experience in sales supervisory role (with direct reports) responsible for developing, coaching, and leading sales team to obtain successful sales results

·         Ability to travel frequently up to 60 percent of time in assigned sales area; occasional overnight and international travel to attend meetings and training.

·         Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

·         Ability to work in Houston without relocation assistance.

 

Do you have the following preferred qualifications?

·         Experience managing remote territories.

·         Experience in the furniture industry.

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

·         Represents Haworth Brand.  Consistently models Haworth vision and values and engages clients and influencers through positive and responsive image to acquire sales and market share.  Spends up to 60 percent of time in field with end user clients, dealer customers, and influencers (design, real estate, and architectural firms) to assist sales team with sales presentations to position Haworth solutions, close business, and drive market share and profitability results.

·         Identifies Prospects.  Leverages strong network of business contacts within sales area to identify leads for expanding business opportunities.

·         Qualifies Prospects.  Confirms viability of prospects (return on investment/probability of win and impact on quota retirement) for direct reports against Haworth’s value proposition, prior to placement in “funnel,” to ensure 50 percent probability or greater to commit resources to pursue business development.

·         Account Opportunity and Planning.  Holds direct reports accountable for developing and implementing business plans focused on driving expansion of Haworth specifications, including pre-call planning activities and mapping client organizations on key-decision makers to influence, to best position Haworth solutions and close sales.

·         Account Opportunity and Planning.  Holds weekly “funnel” meetings with direct reports to manage prospects, develop sales strategies, provide go/no go decisions on opportunities, and identify key internal resources (specialists) necessary to execute strategy.
