Lab Assistant- healthcare

Summary

Lab assistant needed to work with hematology department of major hospital system

Duties

• Maintain lab supplies, inventory and place orders
• Train new staff/students
• Utilizes the electronic health record (EHR), the laboratory information system (LIS) and the email system to efficiently complete daily tasks
• Specimen processing- (blood and urine)
• Operate laboratory equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 6+ months of laboratory experience
• Preferred: BS in a scientific discipline with course work in biology
