JOB SUMMARY-

WMS LEAD


Coordinates all activities with regards to the release and flow of orders throughout the Fulfillment Center (FC). Responsible for demonstrating action, urgency and excellence in safety, quality, production flow, and the execution of service level agreements (SLA’s) with both internal and external customers and suppliers. This role will have the ability to initiate and drive continuous process improvements with respect to product flow through the FC to increase speed and capacity. Additional Responsibilities will include improving inventory storage. Flexibility will be required to provide support to all shifts with resources to consistently meet all objectives.

Major Areas of Responsibilities

• Primary on-site systems owner within TJX’s Logistics for going forward warehouse management systems (WMS) for D2C network.
• Assume front line support to investigate and troubleshoot WMS issues at DC
• Promote TJX’s Logistics (ML) objectives for the defined set of D2C processes and work with various business partners to define and implement solutions that meet those objectives.
• Partner to ensure that all business needs are met through systems support/changes based on business partner requirements
• Participate in configuration, testing/validation and implementation of warehouse management system releases in TJX’s D2C network
• Assist in training business partners on implemented systems and process changes
• Coordinate team meetings to monitor and ensure progress on open issues or projects
• Communicate project progress, raising areas of concern to appropriate levels within TJX’s Logistics
• Manage schedules and expectations within TJX’s business units related to all D2C WMS changes or enhancements
• Provide weekly status updates to project team
• Follow all the building guidelines to maintain and ensure a safe work environment.
• Expertly uses WMS functionalities to maintain the proper workflow and balance throughout the inbound and outbound processes.
• Ensures that there is a sufficient amount of work for each of the outbound processing areas in order to meet Ship On Time, (SOT) commitments, and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.
• Sets priorities of all work queues, monitors PTTS and provides regular updates to area manager(s) on progress rates throughout the facility.
• Partner with Inventory Control team to troubleshoot issues and ensure stock accuracy and processing standards are maintained.
• Manage the placement of merchandise (slotting) in correct location to ensure efficiencies are being met by all operations and the facilities are utilized to achieve their maximum storage potential; directs the maintenance of bin and shelf quantities.
• Support assignment of location (storage) for new merchandise.
• Partner with ICQA to increase velocity of merchandise based on sales activity.
• Practice open and continuous communication; values keeping others well informed; presents written and verbal ideas in easily understood ways. Provides daily updates during update meetings.
• Recognize and celebrate individual and team performance with positive reinforcement.
• Partner with specific department manager(s) on potential processing improvements.
• Maintain a positive, supportive attitude when working with Management (TEAM)
• Manage and oversee the implementation of any new warehouse optimization equipment, software or processes.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in direct to consumer (D2C) or retail distribution environments, strong project management skills along with warehousing systems and technology knowledge.
• Experience with Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management Open Systems application preferred.
• Superior project management skills; and written/verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Six Sigma experience a plus.
• Willingness to travel
