Disaster Recovery Specialist I - Full-time / Part-time

This is a Level 1 Position. Hiring team is Targeting 1-2 years of experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Works with various IT divisions to plan, schedule, support and audit multiple major disaster recovery exercises each year.
• Consults the infrastructure and operations teams during the development of test plans.
• Coordinates test plans and exercise coverage with the Application Development teams.
• Ensures corporate DR/BC plans meet IT Security and Compliance Policies.
• Coordinates media handling procedures between the disaster recover service provider and the TJX Operations teams for exercises and declarations.
• Ensures new equipment, facilities, services and systems are installed and available at the recovery facility.
• Coordinates efforts with disaster recovery service providers and TJX management to ensure that all issues are addressed.
• Maintains documentation on the DR/BC plan for each platform/business group.
• The plan includes recovery procedures, notification procedures, vital records identification and protection, relocation requirements and any other information required to recover the business.
• Develops standardized documentation for departmental recovery plans, associate notification processes, etc.
• Works with Application Development and Business teams to establish Recovery Time Objectives for new applications and determines resources required for successful resumption of business operations.
• Updates and maintains the corporate disaster recovery plan using the planning tool.
• Conducts training on all aspects of the DR/BC planning tool as required.
• Attends training as required to maintain current software administration skills.
• Special projects as required.

Minimum Experience Required:

• 1-2 years work experience in a multi-platform data center environment
