JOB SUMMARY

Registers patients and takes care of related paperwork and administrative requirements of the healthcare facility. Providing clerical and secretarial duties, including patient admissions functions, bed assignments, completion of preliminary paperwork for entering patients, etc. Entering patient information into computerized system of the healthcare facility for tracking purposes. Verifying insurance or provider information and adhering to admitting policies and procedures. Assisting medical, nursing and accounting staff in ensuring appropriate patient placement.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTED HOURS

Full-time, 80 hours per two week pay period. 8-5 pm Monday-Friday. Follow the customer input process to qualify and obtain necessary information and signatures to process orders accurately and efficiently. Update account maintenance files with all pertinent information. Become knowledgeable of product specialty lines and insurance coverage of that product. Must have strong understanding of Durable Medical Equipment billing practices and regulations. Must have computer skills to manage billing software and scheduling for home clinical department.

QUALIFICATIONS

Prefer one year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
