About this job

Responsibilities:

  • Answer calls from customers on the Service Queue to provide possible solutions to restore the equipment to safe and efficient operation

  • Identify parts and supplies that the customer must have to restore equipment to a safe operational level

  • Work closely with engineering personnel on technical matters and coordinate their instructions and recommendations with the customer or distributor. Communicates information on equipment problems or potential enhancements to other teams within the company

  • Make service and repair calls to investigate operating difficulties, diagnose problems and determine reasons, nature of correction, make repairs or adjustments to remedy malfunctions.

  • Maintain a sound working relationship and liaison with the customer s personnel to maintain the image of the Company and its products

  • Work from complex engineering drawings and specifications, detailed written and verbal instructions, manuals, etc.

  • Prospect and secure additional training business as required

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the Factory Service School in Watertown annually

  • Support branch customer and internal service schools as needed

  • Assess the training needs of the customer and deliver training including but not limited to:

  • Operator training per ANSI

  • NCCCO Digger Derrick Operator Certification

  • NCCCO Foundation Drill Certification

  • Edge Training (Operator Safety Training)

  • Mechanic training

  • Mechanical

  • Hydraulic

  • Electrical

  • Inspections

  • Operation

  • Chassis Integration

  • FPS (Fluid Power Society

    • Enhance online program offerings and update as required

    • Perform international training as required

    • Produce Tech-tips, Service School PowerPoints, In-services, and other materials as needed.

    • Plan, coordinate and implement a minimum of 2 FPS certification and review classes per year (6-12 participants)

    • Perform other assigned duties or functions that may be required for smooth and timely operation of the department

    Qualifications:

    • Sedentary involves constant sitting. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally, frequent lifting of 1-2 pounds

    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the industry

    • Ability to become an FPS Certified instructor within one (1) year from date of acceptance.

    • Ability to become an NCCCO Certified Digger Derrick Operator and Practical Examiner within one (1) year from date of acceptance

    • Ability to become an NCCCO Certified Foundation Drill Operator and Practical Examiner within one (1) year from date of acceptance. If the program has not been finalized, six (6) months after the NCCCO Foundation Drill Operator program is available
