Job DescriptionThis position is dealing with customer service for a Pharmacy Benefits company. In this position you will be responsible for the following:
- Taking inbound calls regarding pharmacy inquiries
- Assisting company members with benefit information and updating
- Communicate with Doctors and Pharmacists regarding Prior Authorization
- Set up the primary steps for Prior Authorization to be established
- Document all calls and interactions when on the job
- Update client and member information
- Establish copay amounts based on benefits
- Assist with prescription information
- Advise on what medication can be administered based on the individuals benefit coverage
- Communicating with various departments to provide status updates on member processes
- Abide to all performance metrics and adhere to attendance policies
- Medical/Healthcare/Pharmacy Background
- 1-2 years of call center experience
- Ability to handle large amounts of technical knowledge and apply it on a daily basis
- Experience/Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
