About this job
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the design, assessment, implementation, training, documentation, and ongoing support of Cadence/Prelude EHR applications and all appropriate policies, procedures and standard workflows used by clinical department staff. This includes, but not limited to: new hire training, training of new functions/workflows within the EHR, support to all staff who use these programs. This position also requires an understanding and knowledge of insurance contracts held by Palo Alto Medical Foundation; referral and authorization requirements; surgical scheduling workflow as well as daily medical office workflows. Must be able to problem solve issues relevant to EHR program, scheduling and registration. Assist internal customers with courtesy and helpfulness
* High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred.
* Two (2) years experience in Sutter Health as receptionist (PSR) or Account Rep (AR).
* Previous work experience working with the EPIC EHR.
* Working Experience of Microsoft programs, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for regular contact with physicians, administrators, managers and staff.
* Knowledge and understanding of insurance plans including HMO, Fee for Service, Government and Indemnity Plans.
* Bilingual skills (English-Spanish) preferred.
