Job DescriptionThe Treater Operator will produce and inspect product by tending extruders, resin hoppers, and die. Operate machinery by setting up recipe of resins, machine controls per product specifications, and monitoring equipment used in manufacturing plastic.II. DutiesMaintains continuous machine operations between shifts by reporting to assigned workstation prepared to assume production from previous shift at shift start.Maintains continuous machine operations during shift by checking recipe of resins, monitoring machine settings, completing roll tickets, inputting production into Marshal, and packaging product.Performs and is responsible for in-process and final on-line inspection and testing of manufactured product.Ensures quality control requirements are met by reviewing all special instructions and requirements.Documents machine settings and quality checks/tests.Resolves production problems by altering minor machine set points; notifying shift operations specialist for assistance; if necessary, discontinue manufacturing operations until the problem is resolved.Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Assist maintenance technicians in performing preventive maintenance as needed.RequirementsRequirementsAble to work independently with minimal supervision.Able to read and interpret work instructions.Able to perform basic math skills, document, and process required paperwork.Able to maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and other manufacturing personnel.Able to effectively use tools, such as scissors, and safety knives to cut film.Previous industrial experience is preferredPhysical RequirementsMust be able to stand, walk up and down stairs for up to 12 hours per day. Must be able to lift and carry 80 pounds. Ergonomics are 95% standing or walking and 0% sitting and 5% using a keyboard. Must be able to communicate in order to instruct, train, or assist employees. Must be able to twist, turn, bend and work at a rapid pace. Must have 20/20 vision with correction for inspecting. Reasonable accommodations may be considered on a case by case basis.
