Laboratory Technician

We are currently looking to hire a Lab Tech for a food and beverage company in Dundalk, MD. Ideally, the candidate will have some experience working in a microbio lab. They are open to EL candidate with a strong education background.

The candidate will perform various lab duties within three different sectors: baking, microbiology and waste water. Within the baking sector, candidates will create a product using a batch order and follow it like a recipe. Sample testing will be performed in order to assure quality product is created, called proof testing. The bake the final product. Within microbiology, various testing such as E.Coli and salmonella will be performed. They will be preparing media, autoclaving the media and washing the material. These two sectors are the most important. They also will be working within waste water, where more analytical testing (titrations, chlorine, pH) would be done. They will utilize an autoclave.

Days for training are Monday - Friday, and the candidate must be flexible between 7 AM - 6 PM. When the candidate is finished training, they must be flexible working 6 AM - 11 PM for an 8 hour shift, and weekends from 7 AM - 3 PM.
