Controls Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is currently hiring for a Controls Engineer for one of our clients in the Salem, IN area.

Job Description:

• Maintain, develop, and implement automation system projects for tooling, controls, and equipment to achieve stated objectives while meeting cost and time targets.
• Implement methods, process or control changes to systems to reduce overall costs, improve quality and expand manufacturing capabilities.
• Participate in equipment and automation design review from a systems design perspective.
• Maintain accurate BOM's and files to support project documentation and program backups.
• Support standardization initiatives by specifying and purchasing similar controls equipment, components and participate in standards development.
• Provide technical assistance to the manufacturing and maintenance personnel to solve complex advance manufacturing problems.
• Application of electronic machine controls and data acquisition hardware/software in a manufacturing facility.

Requirements:

Position requires a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (or the equivalent in training and experience) plus practical work experience of 5 to 8 years as a controls automation engineer in an integrator/ machine OEM position or manufacturing plant environment
