Las Colinas Firm seeking a full time legal assistant to join our team.

Legal Assistant Job Duties:

  • Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into client file and case management software; confirming case status with paralegal.
  • Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; assisting with scheduling depositions; assisting with preparing discovery requests/responses; generating status reports.
  • Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating case status.
  • Maintains case costs by entering and verifying outstanding balances with attorney or paralegal.
  • Prepare correspondence to clients, opposing counsel or providers.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Legal Assistant Skills and Qualifications:

Reporting Skills, Research Skills, Client Relationships, Organization, Planning, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Dependability

Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office tools and Adobe Pro.
