Job Description

Warehouse Associates are responsible for performing safe, accurate and timely shipping and receiving procedures in the facilities warehouse. Satisfactory completion of the (forklift) proficiency testing and certification is a must. Warehouse Associates must also demonstrate the ability to understand directions, inventory, customer service, scheduling of trucks for receiving and demonstrate safe loading and unloading of merchandise in and out of warehouse as well as customers vehicles.


Objectives:

  • Load and unload trucks and semi-trailers with battery-operated forklift, moving product in and out of the warehouse.
  • Transfer inventory from vehicles to warehouse and shelves by hand, pallet jack, or forklift
  • Review orders for shipment and assemble the correct types of merchandise to be shipped.
  • Actively stay involved with the daily schedule and calendar
  • Perform and report weekly audits of inventory
  • Continually monitor and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Continually seek to make improvements around the warehouse
  • Keep the warehouse clean & organized

Competencies:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Experience with operating a forklift
  • Lift up to 50 to 70 lbs repeatedly
  • Push and pull up to 100 lbs repeatedly
  • Background in solar would be a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Support and abide by all safety regulations set by company
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment with frequent changes 
  • Ability to demonstrate basic computer skills.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid state driver’s license
  • Must have a clean driving record. (example, no DUI in the last 5 years)
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen
