Family Medicine Physician Faculty - Lake Lure, NC

The MAHEC Division of Family Medicine invites applications for a full time or part-time, benefited faculty member to lead the Rural Health Teaching Hub in the Lake Lure Family Health Center. Responsibilities include a mix of direct patient care and program development/leadership in a medical site dedicated to inter-professional health education and community service. Learners will include Family Medicine and Psychiatry Residents, Medical Students, and Advanced Practitioner Residents and Students. This practice and teaching center is an integral component of the Mountain Area Health Education Center, which is the Academic West Campus of the UNC School of Medicine. We are dedicated to the training and support of health care providers for the underserved populations of Western North Carolina. The MAHEC Family Health Center at Lake Lure is located in a charming rural community in Rutherford County, North Carolina, surrounded by national parks and a host of recreational and cultural activities, about a forty-five minute drive from Asheville, and thirty minutes from Hendersonville.
