Westside of Cleveland Ohio production company is currently seeking a production/facilities maintenance technician. This position is responsible for repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems of the plant to meet production schedule needs.
$18.00-$20.00/hr
Hours are 7:00am-3:30pm Monday through Friday. This is a regular, full time hourly position with a minimum of 40 hours per week during core business hours. Overtime may be required outside the production schedule and may include evenings and weekends to meet customer needs.
Duties Include:
Perform preventive service and repair on production equipment and auxiliary equipment to assure their continued performance
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
Tear down and rebuild production equipment as needed to ensure continuous operation
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Tow motor repair and preventative maintenance (gas and electric)
Performs preventive service and repair on the physical structure, plumbing, water, HVAC and electrical systems of the plant to maintain their continual operation
Operates maintenance equipment needed to fabricate service and repair machinery and equipment
Maintains the work area through good housekeeping and safety practices to meet 5S standards
Order parts and maintain inventory of maintenance equipment, tools, etc.
Performs related duties as needed by supervisor to assure the continual workflow of production parts and operation of the facility
Other duties as assigned
Requirements Include:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with, motivate and communicate with employees in various departments throughout the company as well as outside vendors
Demonstrate an understanding of and adheres to all policies and procedures
High School Diploma/GED
Welding and electrical certification preferred
Minimum 3 years experience in production and facilities maintenance
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, prioritize and execute work activities
Computer Skills. Microsoft Office, internet
Must be effective at resolving problems and handling stressful situations in a professional manner
Must be self-disciplined and team oriented
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where noise, dust and dirt are present and the temperature is not maintained consistently throughout the year
PPE may be required at times (safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection)
Intermittent use of the computer, phone and other general office equipment is requir ed
