Shop Worker - Full-time / Part-time

Hours:

Training on 1st shift- 6AM- 2:30PM; Switch to 2nd shift after training

2nd Shift: 1:30PM- 10PM

Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years experience in a shop environment
• Experience running shop equipment including table saw, routers, and skill saw; prefer experience with wood working or carpentry
• Must be detail-oriented and capable of working on multiple tasks and deadlines

Job Duties:

• Assists with the organization of cut sheets and analyzing part requirements to minimize waste and increase output using proper utilization of cut off waste. Acceptable waste factor is less than 10%
• Ensure proper sizing, grain direction, and hole locations are achieved
• Monitor the operating machine at all times
• Produce or assemble components of articles, such as store fixtures, office equipment, cabinets, or high-grade furniture.
• Verify dimensions or check the quality or fit of pieces to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Will use hand and power tools
• Reinforce joints with nails or other fasteners to prepare articles for finishing.
