Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a part time Yard Driver to grow with us!  The candidate hired into this role will be responsible for shuttling/spotting trailers as well as being cross trained in loading/unloading trailers, 
and maintaining accurate inventories.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Spotting trailers with a yard tractor
  • Loading/unloading trailers with a forklift
  • May make local deliveries
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area/yard
  • Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations
  • Effectively communicate with team members
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have or be able to do the following:

  • Must be at least 23 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
  • Prior forklift experience highly preferred, but not required
  • Factory, Manufacturing or other work experience where mechanical or handwork was necessary is preferred, such as laborer, machinist, assembly, bindery, mechanic, warehouse etc. 
  • Warehouse experience is preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read, understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
  • The ability to lift and/or move 10-20 pounds continuously and lift and/or move up to 70 pounds occasionally
  • The ability to bend, step, and lift constantly, performing repetitious tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize job need
  • Ability to be a team player in a fast paced, detail orientated production environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
