Process Technician

An Evansville company in the need for 3 Process/Mold-Setter Technicians. This company is an automotive part manufacturer with major clients including Toyota, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Nissan, etc.

This person will be performing programming of molding machines. They will trouble shoot molding process issues as well such as flash, short shots, sinks, splay, etc. (these are all issue that are related to injection molding processes specifically). They will assist with performing mold changes and set up as needed within certain time frames while relying on process and cycle sheets. They will help with coordinating mold set up activities with production schedules to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.

This candidate will also troubleshoot mold problems, come up with root cause and provide quick permanent corrective action. They will also perform minor maintenance repair if needed. This candidate will change-out and maintain material and central material feed systems as needed. In addition they will maintain robot arms and work cell assembly stations equipment.

Finally, this person will be responsible to maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and of company assets. They will be required to comply with all standard safety practices, safety guidelines, and all company guidelines and policies. They will maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area. They will also be responsible for performing cleaning of molds and of entire cell areas.

They currently have openings for these roles on 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift.

Must Haves:
A minimum of one year experience in injection molding manufacturing, ideally with mold set up experience
Experience troubleshooting mold problems, developing root cause, and providing corrective action
Knowledge of hand tools, diagrams, blue prints, schematics, gauges, and measuring instruments
ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to work extended hours and/ or OT as required
