Our team has served the mental health needs of the Tucson community for over 20 years, formerly as Community Partnership of Southern Arizona.  We have also developed business, consulting and supportive services (such as housing programs) that benefit the people we serve as well as other nonprofits, organizations, government departments and health plans. With our growth, we are currently seeking a qualified Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team! GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general direction of Medical Director, this employee provides comprehensive, coordinated primary and preventive health care to ACTS' patients. This staff will interact as an agent of ACTS with outside entities on occasion. Required to be familiar with, abide by, and enforce State of Arizona Behavioral Health and RBHA mandates, obligations, deliverables and company regulations. Coordinates patient needs with other resources, agencies, and / or other organizations providing behavioral health services to AHCCCS patients. Will provide documentation on all work performed into the patient information management system and maintain records in compliance with established recordkeeping systems. Provide comprehensive primary care for adults. May include care to children and special populations such as SMI or HIV depending on qualifications. Serve as preceptor to residents, medical students and advance practice nursing students. Attend monthly provider meetings. Remain current with standards of practice. Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by medical director. Skills/ Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   Board certified in family practice or internal medicine.Minimum 2 years-experience in certified field preferred.Current Arizona license to practice medicine.Valid DEA certificate.Ability to work collaboratively with medical director, other physicians, midlevel providers and nurses.Experience in dealing with medically underserved populations preferred.Familiarity with automated practice management systems and electronic health records.Experience with applicable public health issues preferred.Ability to provide effective consultation with and supervision of midlevel practitioners (MD).Current Arizona DPS Fingerprint card and must be in good standing with all applicable agencies. Requires a thorough working knowledge of the State of Arizona Medical Board rules, regulations and standards with the ability to administer these rules, regulations and standards; must have a working knowledge of accepted personnel practices, company policies and guidelines and public education.   Must possess extensive skills in:   LeadershipHuman BehaviorWritten and Oral CommunicationsCommunity RelationsProgram ManagementQuality Management   Must have ability to deal professionally, tactfully and courteously with the public, other professionals, officials, company Executive Officers and staff.
