Job Description

Partners with third party vendor, Store/Field Management, and HR Business Partners to respond to Unemployment Insurance Claims. Follows up on requests for information and gathers necessary documentation. Completes Wage Audits and Verifications of employment as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responds to Unemployment Insurance Claims via CaseBuilder Software. Utilizes available information in Oracle and Papervision and partners with appropriate parties, (Store/District/Regional Management, HR Business Partners).
  • Acts as liaison between third party vendor and TJX Management to ensure timely and accurate responses.
  • Gathers documentation and witness information for hearings, ensures attendance of key witnesses at hearings and helps prepare them.
  • Makes recommendations when expert representative should be requested to attend hearings based on details of individual claims, including potential liability.
  • Completes Verification of Employment and Wage Audit requests.
  • Researches State UI Policies to assist in decision making with regard to state inquiries and hearing prep.
  • Special projects as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Excel and MS Word
  • 0-1 years’ experience in HR Role or Unemployment Claim processing preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment
  • Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned
