In this position, the Project Leader will support Corporate Controller Team success strategies through project roles. The individual will participate on cross-functional workstreams focused on projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of teams through continuous process improvement, automation, and data analytics.
The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated, self-starter with a strong focus on results. The Project Leader is expected to have strong organizational/interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, strategic thinking, and a focus towards the future; plus the ability to manage ambiguity/complexity. The Project Leader should possess situational adaptability, a positive attitude and able to work in a diverse team environment.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides project management including planning and timeline management for the project.
Quickly learn and thoroughly understand the departmental processes.
Provide business support to system changes/implementation
Evaluate existing processes and implement process improvements
Provide change management leadership
Overall responsibility for ensuring that the project meets the business need.
Complete project-related activities including but not limited to:
Business process evaluation
Procedure development
Develop process flow and requirements
Quality Assurance testing
Implementation planning
Documentation
User training
Production support for problems/enhancements
Ensures adequate communication and proper integration across departments, systems and platforms.
This position typically reports to a Manager or a Sr. Manager.
This position may have management responsibility for a small team.
Typically requires highly developed interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive situations.
Typically faces situations that have a variety of interpretations and require careful evaluation.
Typically considers among many different options or procedures when solving problems.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
Under regular pressure to meet deadlines, quotas and/or must frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years
Physical Requirements:
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP, Access, SharePoint, Microsoft Office suite experience preferred
Financial Acumen - Understanding of Finance and Accounting preferred
Strong Customer Service, Analytical and Project management skills preferred
Strong technical and automation knowledge and experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Experience in project management and an understanding of standard systems environment.
Track record of success at implementing large scale, complex projects.
Excellent communication skills.
