Public Works Director - Full-time

The City of Robert Lee is taking applications for a Public Works Director. Description: This is a professional and managerial position with responsibilities to direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the Water and Waste Water Utilities and other aspects of Public Works, including water production/distribution, waste water treatment/collection and street department. This is a very responsible management position that also requires the technical expertise and to be On-Call and available at any time. Duties include knowledge of regulatory compliance, system operations, storage systems, construction, pumps, equipment, facilities, budgeting and management of personnel. Required skills: Position requires a minimum of a Texas Class "B" Water Distribution and Class "C" Waste Water license. High school diploma or equivalent and valid Texas drivers license with a clean driving record. Must have computer skills with knowledge of various computer programs and be able to navigate the internet. The ability to work with hands and work in mechanically oriented situations. Experience in water/waste water treatment and other public works activities. Salary is negotiable depending on experience, qualifications and education.
