Paint Application Specialist - Full-time / Part-time

The Paint Application Specialist is responsible for assessing spray booth and paint automated equipment for capability (existing/new model). The person in this position will develop strategy for painting and automated processing for new model at all CPCP gates plus develops automation solutions, layouts and set system requirements. The Paint Application Specialist will commission new equipment LASD/ sealer/ powder/ topcoat/ blackout/ Pur Foam and execute process tune-in and optimization of paint application equipment and support production launch. This position will drive appearance characteristics per vehicle line. The Specialist will interface with Product Engineering teams and plant personnel to coordinate process validation of pretreatment, sealing and paint application. The Paint Application Specialist will develop and support process capability Matrix, eCIMS & PFMEA and is responsible for corrective troubleshooting of existing paint application or paint process conditions for current production vehicles.
