Quad/Graphics is seeking Seasonal Production Workers for the Fernley, NV plant. The Seasonal Production workers assist in meeting production goals and deadlines during our peak season, beginning August. The position offers the opportunity to learn the printing process from the ground up, while working with the industries’ most advanced printing equipment in a clean well-kept environment.

Shifts and dates of assignments may be rotated and may vary by department.  Hours are based on production needs, however, hours consist of 12-hour shifts, days, nights, weekends and holiday as needed. Overtime is required as needed.

Job Duties

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Follows safety procedures at all times
• Operates quarter-folding
• Straightens & aligns paper signatures
• Loads feeder pockets with signatures correctly
• Monitors inkjet and book quality and communicates with operator whenever a problem occurs
• Inspects & stacks final product
• Lifts and stacks product in specific patterns at the end of the line
• Feeds forms into machine pockets for assembly
• Sorts bundles
• Scans pallets
• Assists other workers
• Maintains a safe and clean work area
• Other duties as assigned by department

• Receive and follow instruction
• Must have the ability to work 12 hour shifts (7A.M. - 7P.M., or 7P.M. - 7A.M.) which includes days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
• Follow standard operating procedures of the department at all times
• Team player and able to work well with others
• Willing to work any shift and overtime as needed
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to consistently lift 15 to 30 lbs.
• Good math
• Good verbal & written skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple functions.

• Lift up to 15-30lbs. continuously
• Lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Stand 10-12 hours
• Use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movements
• Use vision to identify defects
