About this job
A&P Mechanic Instructor
Creates, prepares, and assists in determining that lessons and lesson plans are in conformity with the school's approved FAR Part 147 curriculum.
Instructs, directs, and supervises the activity of students while they are enrolled in the school to ensure compliance with the school's academic standards and the various rules and regulations relating to the instruction being given.
Evaluates student performance to determine satisfactory progress is being made to meet the school's academic performance standards and FAR Part 147 performance standards.
Confers with, assists, and advises students in order to meet the academic and training standards of the school and FAR Part 147.
Possess and maintain the proper training, skills, licenses, and recent experience requirements applicable to an Instructor in the schools approved FAR Part 147 curriculum.
Works with the school administration to evaluate and improve the training program.
Insures that tools and equipment used in the training program are properly used and cared for to prevent damage or injury to the equipment or students.
Insures that all Personal Protective Equipment is used by the Instructor and student in order to prevent personal hazards and injuries.
