JOB SUMMARY:
Supports the Manager to ensure that all store daily operating procedures are performed on a timely basis as required, while promoting a corporate image of excellence. Maximize sales through the development and supervision of sales associates. Must possess positive values of integrity, fairness, respect, teamwork and high standards. Sales Supervisors are responsible for ensuring employee compliance with all company policies, and procedures, and achieving daily sales goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts store opening/closing/shift change procedures, including the counting and verifying of funds, completing bank deposits, opening/closing registers, and securing the facility.
Perform all cash register preparation, float verifications, spot checks, verification of end-of-shift cash reconciliations, and deposits.
Ensures that money is secured at all times and cash in excess of $500 is removed from the register for safekeeping.
Ensures that daily counts on cigarettes, phone cards, newspapers, and other items as required are conducted consistently and that any discrepancies are reported immediately to the Operations Manager.
Provide feedback to management regarding service failures or customer concerns.
Provide timely feedback to Operations team to ensure all interested parties have accurate and timely information on order status and /or changes.
Act as a resource in resolving customer issues through process knowledge and strong skills in negotiating and selling.
Ensures that all sales associates are aware of daily sales targets.
Ensures that customers are greeted promptly and served by knowledgeable, well-trained associates.
Maintain sales floor merchandise presentation standards are met.
Ensures that staff is aware of procedural changes and/or other latest memorandums. Monitor the work assignments of the associates.
Document any policy violations, and report them to the Operations Manager.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a supervisory capacity in a sales or customer service field, or a minimum or 3 years of work experience in a retail environment with lead responsibilities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Must be able to work any shift (various hours-days off) and overtime as business dictates.
Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays
Must be able to pass an FBI-criminal background check and drug screening.
Must possess the ability to direct the work of others to achieve company goals.
Must be able to communicate clearly and give concise instructions.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and/or handle merchandise throughout the store weighing up to 30 lbs.
