Press Helper and General Production

Aerotek is now hiring for press helper and general production associates in the Harvard area paying $12-13.50/hr. There are openings on 2nd and 3rd shift.

Job Description:

The press helper is responsible for washing printing press parts to get inks and dies off the the part. Candidates will wash the parts using a soap/chemical mix, so they will need to be good with a slight odor. They will help with some light assembly of parts going into the presses, and assisting the operators with other general responsibilities. Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs.

This is a great long term opportunity and career for someone looking to get into a good company. The plant managers main goal is get people qualified and promoted upwards in the company.
**As soon as candidates learn the "parts washer" role they will start learning how to build, assemble, and set decks. Decks are the large assembled product that goes into the machinery. These are pretty intricate and take a while to master. Once the candidate learns that role, they will move into a slitting operator or pressman role. Within a few years these candidates will be skilled press operators making $18-20's
