RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

  • Provide great customer service and role model service standards
  • Receive inventory; check delivery for accuracy compared to invoices
  • Stage inventory by breaking out the inventory into sections for stocking
  • Stock inventory
  • Return tote to backroom for shipping back to warehouse
  • Check line by line receiving
  • Contact H-E-B warehouse or vendor if inventory is short
  • Ensure caps, vials, bags, and other inventories are stocked in the correct place.
  • Process Customer transactions at register
  • Filing, Retrieving, and maintaining prescriptions in the Will Call Area
  • Receiving written prescriptions from customers and obtain demographic and profile related information
  • Receiving refill prescription numbers (over the phone and at drop off counter) and obtaining profile related information
  • Answer the telephone and direct calls to appropriate person
  • Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of Personal Health Information (PHI) as required by HIPAA
  • Direct Customers to Counseling window for Pharmacist consultation
  • Maintaining Insurance signature logs by date of fill
  • Primary person responsible for outside and inside Department presentation and sanitation
  • Verify scripts are going to the correct store
  • Verify orders on prescriptions (names, number of orders per bag, etc.)
  • Filing and maintaining prescription hard copies
  • Assist Technicians and Pharmacists as necessary to ensure efficient and complete production for the shift
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Retail experience preferred; pharmacy experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Basic computer skills (MS Windows, HEB Intranet)
  • Strong team orientation, willing to pitch in at any moment for any reason.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Must be a self-starter, and be able to work with little direct supervision
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts to include weekends; must be flexible to the needs of the business
  • Welcomes working in a team oriented environment and is open to cross-training
  • Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations
  • Pharmacy Care Representative Training & Certification
  • ACR training or Cash handling skills
  • Clerk training 501
