The Director of Product Services will be responsible for leading a team of analysts and developers to create data and reporting products. These products will be used by team members within Enterprise Analytics and across MGM Resorts International. This individual will be responsible for leading their team to execute on studies (hackathons) and developing, testing and delivering finished products that stem from the studies. This individual will be part of a team that is leading the next wave of disruption to unlock the opportunities that help create differentiating experience for MGM Resorts International customers. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Direct and lead studies and experiments to test the value of proposed analytical products.
  • Lead the design, development, delivery and sustainability of reporting and analytics applications leveraging a portfolio of tools: Power BI, OpenSource visualizations, Cognos Business Intelligence, Cognos TM1, and MSFT SQL Server/Analysis Services Technologies as examples.
  • Responsible for building awareness BI / Analytics portfolio of applications which include but are not limited to complex dynamic reports, dashboards, and scoreboards using various data sources.
  • Partner with both Enterprise Analytics internal and external user communities to facilitate visioning sessions and shape product features and functions.
  • Train internal customers and drive solution adoption.
  • Embrace internal support methodologies and SDLC best practices, and continuously strive to SQL, No SQL databases using leading platforms and tools such as AWS, Azure, HIVE, Parquet, ElasticSearch with Kibana, and Druid to improve the systems and processes.
  • Manage HR responsibilities for the assigned areas; create and maintain a work environment that promotes client service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction ensuring quality hiring, training, and succession planning process that encompass the company's diversity commitment.
  • Perform other job related duties as requested.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 7 years of technology implementation, system integration or development experience with solid understanding of OLAP Architecture and Administration and SQL.
  • Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, multi-dimensional cubes, and relational models as well as complex reports.
  • Experience in data management or computer programming.
  • Experience in various tools such as but not limited to SQL Server, MongoDB, AWS, Azure, HIVE, Parquet, ElasticSearch with Kibana, and Druid , Cognos Framework manager, PowerPlay, transformer, Query Studio, Reporting Studio, event Studio, TM1, MSFT Analysis Services.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
