Overview

URBN eCommerce builds and extends the online platform responsible for the Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie brands. The Overnight Systems Administrator will primarily be responsible for monitoring the first level triage of production systems, and will participate with testing across the .com and mobile websites/apps. Prioritization & time management skills are necessities as you will need to adhere to tight deadlines and complete thorough testing across numerous environments before code builds are signed off on for public release. Strong written and communication skills are required, as you will need to thoroughly document and communicate any found issues across departments for further debugging. The objective is to keep all services up and running at 100% availability.

Responsibilities

  • Eyes on glass monitoring, initial troubleshooting, and escalation management
  • Managing the Production Support ticket queue
  • Thoroughly regression test the .com website, mobile website and mobile apps across multiple environments throughout the life cycle of a code release
  • Collaborate with QA testers to reproduce site issues
  • Document site issues via issue tracking program
  • Utilize multiple testing tools for front end customer facing features
  • Creative thinking to implement and expand upon site features and functionality
  • On-call night and weekend shifts are required.
