Danville Support Services is looking for dependable caregivers/homemakers with high energy and great customer service looking to join an amazing team of professionals. We are a leading provider of in-home support services for people who are elderly, have disabilities or just need some extra assistance with the day to day living. Make a difference today and every day helping our clients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care, companionship, transportation, etc. Must have some experience, pass a criminal background check and have a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
• Follow care plans • Complete clients' log books
• Provide non-medical personal care including oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, shampooing, combing hair, shaving, and assisting with toileting
• Assist with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, etc.
• Maintain a safe environment, assuring client safety.
• Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and home management for clients
• Accompany clients to appointments and shopping
• Encourage self-help activities • Clean equipment used in clients' care
• Remind clients to take medications
• Plan and prepare meals
• Safely lift, move, and transport clients as required
• Active participant in the care team for clients and families
• Report any changes in schedule or availability to the supervisor
• Maintain clients' and families' confidentiality
• Take and record oral temperatures
• May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent, and experience as a caregiver or in a related field
• Required to pass a criminal background check/fingerprint clearance
• Must be 18 years or older
• If responsible for driving on company business, must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid state driver's license, proof of automobile insurance, and an insurable driving record
• Are able to work 10 or more hours per week, even though 10 hours per week may not be scheduled or available
• Are able to complete housecleaning duties, and have experience cooking full healthy meals
• Are able to help clients with personal care, e.g. bathing, toileting, etc.
