3M is seeking a Field Service Technician / Bio-Medical Tech. for the 3M Infection Prevention Division located in Los Angeles, CA. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of 3M Healthcare Field Service Technician will be responsible to manage their assigned territory of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and additional states may be added providing field service and technical support on assigned equipment, delivering In-Service training, actively selling service agreements and generating new sales leads as well as backing up surrounding territories as needed. This role provides the primary technical support (helping customers over the phone and e-mail) and field service on 3M Sterivac sterilizers and other assigned products.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Installing, troubleshooting and repairing assigned equipment including 3M Sterivac Sterilizers in hospital and industrial environments.
• Providing Preventative Maintenance (PM's)
• Consulting to and providing In-Service training for customers
• Selling Service agreements, charge service activities and generating sales leads on 3M products
• Willingness to be on-call
• Manage van, parts & tools inventory
• Build positive customer relationships and deliver "best in class" service experiences

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree/Technical Diploma or higher from an accredited learning institution
• Minimum of one (1) year of hardware products service experience
• Current, valid Driver's License is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in engineering, computer science or other technical field
• Experience in troubleshooting and repair of hospital equipment
• Skills include strong troubleshooting skills, time and territory management, excellent communications (both written and verbal) and a strong desire for continuous learning.
• Must be able to work in the Hospital environment

Location: Greater Los Angeles, CA. area

Service Territory: Primarily in California, Arizona, New Mexico

Travel: Includes daily travel mostly within the territory with the potential for up to 40+% overnight travel

Relocation: Is not authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
