Leith Porsche is looking for a Detail Department Supervisor.
Would like an individual with 1 year of detailing experience.
BASIC JOB SUMMARY:
The Detail Department Supervisor is a line supervisor that has the direct responsibility for the overall production, quality control, and general behavior of the detail/service wash group. They are also responsible for performing customer details and performing service wash duties at a level determined by service management.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:
¨ Produce billable labor on the vehicle brought into the detail department for detailing.
Wash cars per company standards.
Vacuum inside without disturbing the contents.
Understanding on how to polish a vehicle using a buffer and a variety of compounds.
¨ Set completion times for the jobs assigned to the production group.
¨ Manage the group to achieve high levels of overall group production.
¨ Maintain a high standard of quality workmanship for the labor performed by every group member.
¨ Work with each group member to ensure their performance at/or near their individual objectives.
¨ Maintain a high level of cleanliness, grooming, and uniform appearance for the entire group.
¨ Determine if employees are in good standing with the company.
¨ Meet with the service advisors daily to discuss:
Promise times for customer details
Daily agenda
¨ Ensure that all group members adhere to company policies.
¨ Determine the training needs of the group and inform management of these needs.
¨ Communicate to the appropriate service advisor information regarding any job that will not meet the vehicle promise time.
¨ Cover the previous day’s flat performance with all the group members every day.
¨ Work with the service manager to develop monthly production forecasts.
¨ Maintain the group at the size determined by management.
¨ Arrive at work, take breaks and lunch, and depart work at the times designated by management.
¨ Inform management of any situation or event that would interfere with established objectives, standards, or company policy.
¨ Inform management of any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees, or customers.
