Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects on a day-to-day basis; completely owning projects though shepherding, planning and administration; as well as being the primary source of information for the Company. The Project Manager is also responsible for spreading of Project Management tools and practices across the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead projects as assigned by the Manager of Project Services. This includes managing the project on a day-to-day basis, tracking milestones and deliverables, providing risk assessment and quality control and reporting on status
  • Take a proactive approach to owning the projects assigned. This includes shepherding, planning, and administration from project initiation through closeout following the established Project Services process. Must take an active role in resolving issues and conflicts that they encounter while managing a project as well as being the primary source of information for the Company on an assigned project.
  • Promote and facilitate the spread of project management tools and best practices throughout the organization. The CROSSMARK Project Services team is working to spread PM best practices and tools throughout the organization. This involves being a positive advocate for change through interaction with other parts of the company.
  • Participate proactively in establishing and developing the project management office.
  • Schedule and lead project meetings. Must have advanced written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable leading meetings and keeping them on track.
  • Facilitate meetings for other departments as required by projects assigned. This includes distributing and tracking action items from the meetings.
  • Provide weekly status updates following the Project Services process.

Other Functions:

  • PMP Certification – if the candidate is not PMP certified, they are expected to become so within six months. If they are not eligible for PMP certification at this time, they will be expected to obtain CAPM certification within six months.
  • The successful candidate will have experience managing both network and software projects and is comfortable with technology. It is expected that the person in this role will make the effort to get up to speed as quickly as possible on any technology introduced which they are not familiar with.
  • The person who will succeed in this role will be highly self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent, and a minimum of 1-3 years project management experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: PMP certified or willing to become so within six months of start date.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Not necessary other than overseeing assigned resources on projects being managed. Position could have direct reports.

Work environment: Office environment.

Language Skills: English is the primary language skill, however, bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
